Postgraduate studies

Nursing Education has strong relationships with a number of leading universities in Australia.

Alfred Health has partnerships with a number of leading universities in Australia. Our main partner universities with postgraduate programs include La Trobe, Deakin and Monash University.

Postgraduate study is encouraged as part of our commitment to facilitating professional development of nurses within Alfred Health. Staff are supported and mentored by local clinical education teams, clinical support roles, specialty clinical staff and Nursing Education.

Postgraduate programs are available in numerous specialties with opportunities from Graduate Certificate, Diploma and Masters level. New specialty areas for postgraduate courses are currently being explored for the future.

Staff are also supported through Professional Development and Study Leave and the provision of Postgraduate scholarships. The Department of Health and Alfred Health Scholarships are offered at the end of each year to support staff members to undertake studies in these areas.
