A/Prof Ling is a cardiologist at The Alfred.

He specialises in heart rhythm disorders and performs catheter ablation for arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.

A/Prof Ling is a medical graduate of the University of Adelaide. He completed general cardiology training in Adelaide, and specialist training in cardiac electrophysiology at The Alfred and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He undertook an additional fellowship year in cardiac electrophysiology at Monash Medical Centre and two further years in the same field at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London.

A/Prof Ling is a medical researcher at the University of Melbourne. His research interest is in co-morbid atrial fibrillation and heart failure. He has been awarded a PhD by the University of Melbourne for his work, as well as a post-doctoral fellowship by the Australian National Heart Foundation.
