Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service
Health professional information
The Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service (HOPS) team works with adult clients aged 25-64 years who are experiencing mental illness and homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. We provide a range of services including specialist psychiatric treatment and interventions, assertive outreach and intensive support.
Clinical service overview
Our team provides:
- Psychiatric assessment and treatment
- Clinical case management
- Family and carer support
- Specialist allied health interventions
The HOPS team also works in partnership with local homeless services Sacred Heart Mission and Launch Housing South Bank. We provide secondary consultation and assessment to clients accessing these services.
Our team includes a consultant psychiatrist, psychiatric registrar, occupational therapist, social worker and psychiatric nurses.
