Patients Come First Strategy Consultation

We've developed the third Patients Come First (PCF) Strategy, our roadmap for for putting patients and their families at the centre of care.

Why do we have a strategy?

The Patients Come First Strategy supports Alfred Health’s Strategic Plan by outlining how we will deliver on our primary goal; providing high-quality, equitable patient-centred care. You can find out more about the previous strategy and some of the highlights here.

We asked and heard from our community

Our previous strategy helped drive improvements during 2016-2020.  We wanted to make sure consumers and healthcare providers had the chance to share what’s important to them when it comes to improving the experience of all patients.

Patients Come First Strategy 2021-2024

The consultation survey is now closed. 155 patients, consumers and staff responded, and over 60 attended our virtual forum on 26 February 2021.

Our consultation team have used the findings from the forum and survey to develop the priorities for the next strategy. The team consisted of key staff and consumers. Many thanks go out to those involved in the co-design and development of this strategy. In particular, members of the PCF consultation co-design working group, memebers of our Community Advisory Committee, consumers and staff.

We are now launching the Patients Come First Strategy 2021-2024. This edition supports Alfred Health's purpose to improve the lives of our patients and their families, our communities and humanity.
