The Ultrasound ADVANCED Course

Developed for and taught by Emergency Physicians, The Ultrasound Course will provide you with the skills and resources to undertake ultrasound effectively and with confidence.

Experienced faculty will develop your technical and interpretation skills, and enable you to integrate or extend ultrasound use and findings in your practice.

The Advanced Course involves a combination of hands-on skills-stations, case-based discussions and lectures.

During the Advanced level course, you will learn how to perform and integrate basic cardiac and lung ultrasound into critically unwell patients.

Topics covered in this module include assessing for a pericardial effusion and tamponade, basic assessment of the LV and RV function, assessing fluid status in the unwell patient and developing your skills in lung ultrasound to assess for pneumothorax, pneumonia, cardiac failure and effusions.

The course includes two pre-course quizzes.
