Incident at Bourke Street Mall

A number of patients were treated at The Alfred following an incident in the Bourke Street Mall on Friday 20 January 2017.

As at 3pm Tuesday 7 February

Today we discharged the last patient who remained at The Alfred from the Bourke Street Mall incident. No patients remain at The Alfred as a result of this incident, though some were discharged to other healthcare providers. 

This is the final update for this page. 

 

As at 6pm Wednesday 1 February

Today we discharged another patient who was injured at Bourke St Mall - they were discharged to another healthcare provider. Six patients in total have now been discharged since last Friday.

One patient injured in Bourke St Mall remains at The Alfred in a stable condition.

 

As at 9am Tuesday 31 January

Two patients who were injured at Bourke St Mall remain at The Alfred.

Both patients are in a stable condition.

 

As at 2pm Friday 27 January

Today we discharged another three patients who were injured at Bourke St Mall - one of those patients was discharged to another healthcare provider. Five patients in total have now been discharged since last Friday.

Two patients remain at The Alfred in a stable condition.

 

As at 9am Friday 27 January

Five patients remain at The Alfred following Friday's incident at Bourke St Mall, two have been discharged. 

All remaining patients are in a stable condition. 

 

As at 5pm Sunday 22 January

Six patients remain at The Alfred following Friday's incident at Bourke St Mall, one has been discharged. 

Five of those patients are in a stable condition.

One patient is in a serious condition.

Seven patients remain at The Alfred following the Bourke St Mall incident yesterday. 

  • Three patients are in a critical condition
  • One patient remains in a serious condition
  • Three patients are in a stable condition.



On Friday 20 January, The Alfred received seven patients from the Bourke Street incident, where a number of pedestrians were hit by a vehicle.
