Early Intervention Mobile Outreach Service
Patient information
The Early Intervention Mobile Outreach Service (EIMOS) is a team of child and youth mental health clinicians. We are part of Alfred Mental and Addiction Health in the Infant, Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS)
What we do
We provide intensive outreach, mental health case management and support to young people, their carers and families struggling with significant and ongoing mental health challenges and other complex needs.
We work with children and young people who:
- Require assessment and treatment for complex mental health conditions that can’t be adequately provided by other services
- Require a more flexible approach to engagement and treatment, which may include visiting in the community and more intensive support
We focus on intensive intervention to empower young people and their support networks.
Our care includes:
- Proactive engagement and completion of a comprehensive assessment
- Collaborative and individualised care planning with the child, young person and family
- Treatment which might include medical, psychological, social and educational interventions
