The Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service (HOPS) provides mental health services to adults who are experiencing mental health issues and are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We are part of the Alfred Mental and Addiction Health service.

What we do

HOPS aims to provide excellent care to everyone who needs it. We adapt our approach to meet the needs of each individual.

Our team provides:

  • Psychiatric assessment and treatment
  • Clinical case management
  • Family and carer support
  • Specialist allied health interventions

We work with you, your family and the community to reduce the impact of mental illness. We strive to improve your quality of life and promote your recovery.

We also support clients accessing homelessness services including Sacred Heart Mission and Launch Housing South Bank.

Who we care for

Adults aged between 25-64 years who live locally.

Referral from your GP

Your doctor can call us to organise for you to access this service.

We also accept phone referrals for this service via the Navigations Intake Team.
