What if I have a question about the medication I’m taking?

Ensuring you know how to take your medication safely is paramount. A pharmacist will talk to you if you are taking a new medication, or there is a change to a current medication. This might be through a telehealth appointment from your clinic.  An Outpatient Pharmacy pharmacist will contact you if there are any questions regarding the medication order you place through the online medication request system.

How secure is your system?

Alfred Health undertakes vigorous security and privacy assessments of all software it uses, and this includes the platform used for ordering medications.

I’ve previously ordered my medication via email. Is that still available?

Our previous email ordering system has now been replaced by the online form.  The online form provides our patients a faster, easier way of ordering and better tracking of where your script is up to. We will also ensure we have the most accurate information so we can get your medication to you with less chance of delay.

I don’t have access to the internet. How do I get my medication?

We will continue to offer our services in-person and over the phone. The introduction of an online form is simply a quicker, more streamlined option without needing to wait on hold when calling the pharmacy.

Are there added benefits to the online medication ordering form?

By ordering online you can skip the phone queues, and we will receive your request instantly.

An SMS will be sent to your mobile number to say that we’ve received your medication request, and then you’ll receive another SMS when your medication request has been finalised.

If your order is being posted, you will also be given an Australia Post tracking number, so you know if your medication is close to being delivered.
