Sandringham Hospital Upgrade Project
An upgrade of key facilities underway at Sandringham Hospital will play an important role in ensuring we continue to deliver quality care to our community.
The project includes refurbishment of the hospital’s main entrance, level one and outpatients department.
The hospital Main Entrance will be closed from Wednesday 13 November, and main reception will temporarily relocate to the Emergency Department.
All public access to the hospital will be via the Emergency Department entrance.
Upon completion, it will include:
- Accessible space to support 22 consulting spaces (including four paediatric specific spaces)
- New pathology layout and allied health room
- Upgrade to hospital front entrance and reception
- Updated public toilets
- Updated staff amenities
How the works will affect you
The following services are among those affected.
Main Reception:
Reception will be temporarily relocated to the Emergency Department reception area. All public access to the main hospital is via the Emergency Department entrance.
Echo Services:
Moving from Ground Floor, Outpatient Consulting Clinic to Main Hospital Building, near Radiology – please see reception for details.
Outpatient Physio:
Moving from Ground Floor, Outpatient Consulting Clinic to Main Hospital Building, Ward G3 – please see reception for details.
Outpatients Specialist Clinic:
This clinic is moving from Ground Floor Block A and B Outpatient Consulting Clinic to Ground Floor, Outpatient Consulting Clinic – see Outpatient reception for details.
