Our continuing professional development (CPD) program includes regular short courses in a diverse range of clinical specialties. Both formal and informal short courses are available.
Formal Advanced Life Support (ALS) programs
This internationally recognised one-day course is aimed at providing healthcare personnel with the skills and knowledge to manage the patient in the immediate crisis phase.

These courses are of one or two full days in duration and are informally assessed. Learners may chose to attend either one or both days of a two day program, depending on the individual’s interests and prior knowledge.
Advanced Wound Care Day
Advanced Wound Care Day is designed for more experienced clinicians to advance their knowledge of wound management and is held at The Alfred.
Participants will be able to understand the clinical decision making associated with wound healing, tissue loss and reconstruction in the context of more complex wounds.
Fees & cancellation policy
The fees quoted against our courses are correct at time of publication and are inclusive of GST. Fees are subject to change at the discretion of Alfred Health.
Alfred Health reserves the right to cancel any course should enrolment numbers be insufficient. A full refund will be given should a course be cancelled by Alfred Health
If you cancel more than 30 days prior to the scheduled course date, your fees will be refunded in full.
If you cancel within 14-30 days prior to the course date, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded.
No refund applies if you cancel less than 14 days prior to the scheduled course date.
A refund of fees following withdrawal due to illness, injury or other special circumstances will be considered on an individual basis.
