Fundraising with horsepower
Ballarat-based horse racing trainer, Matt Cumani visited The Alfred last week to see the life-saving work of doctors and nurses first hand – touring the emergency and trauma centre, intensive care unit and trauma ward.
The hospital’s fundraising arm, The Alfred Foundation, is proud to have partnered with the Melbourne Racing Club for the 2016 BMW Caulfield Cup Carnival Pin & Win Program.
Matt Cumani is supporting the foundation as an ambassador for this year’s carnival.
“I’m delighted to be able to support such a great cause,” Matt said. “Victoria is very fortunate to have such great trauma care, and I saw this care in action during my visit.”
Matt’s visit to The Alfred also followed a look at the rehabilitation facilities at Caulfield Hospital.
As the official charity partner, proceeds from the sale of the exclusive carnival pin will help redevelop the Hydrotherapy Centre at Caulfield Hospital, which is used in the rehabilitation journey for many patients.
You can support treatment and care by purchasing a 2016 BMW Caulfield Cup Lapel Pin.
Pins are available for purchase on race days during the Caulfield Racing Carnival, within Melbourne Racing Club owned venues and at Alfred Health campuses including Caulfield Hospital and The Alfred.
