It is important if you are involved in a workplace accident, that you lodge a claim to access the support you need to cover the cost of your treatment at the hospital.

We know that recovering from an accident can be difficult. We are here to support you, so that you can concentrate on getting well.

You are covered under the Workers Compensation System. You will need to inform your employer If your attendance or admission to Alfred Health is related to a work accident or injury so that they can initiate a claim through WorkSafe Victoria to activate your WorkCover claim.

If you are injured at work and need medical treatment or time off work, you may be eligible for compensation, which may include:

  • Payments to cover lost income
  • Medical expenses paid
  • Lump sum payment if you have a permanent impairment
