A/Prof Aleksandr Voskoboinik
Alex Voskoboinik is a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist.
Alex Voskoboinik graduated Monash University Medical School in 2008 with First Class Honors and was the dux of his graduating year level. He won six academic prizes during his medical training. He completed his cardiology advanced training at The Alfred in 2015 and then completed his subspecialty Clinical Electrophysiology Fellowship at The Alfred and Royal Melbourne Hospitals between 2016 – 2018. Between 2019 – 2020, he undertook further advanced ablation and pacing training at University of California San Francisco (UCSF).
He is committed to research, having completed his PhD at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Research Institute and University of Melbourne in 2019 and was awarded the prestigious Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand Ralph Reader Prize for top young investigator. He is currently the recipient of a National Heart Foundation Early Career Fellowship. He has first author publications in leading peer-reviewed journals including New England Journal of Medicine and Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
