About head and neck cancer
Head and neck cancer includes a range of cancers which begin in the head and neck region. Cancers can occur inside the mouth, nose and throat.
Smoking and alcohol consumption are the main risk factors for developing head and neck cancer, however more recently there has been an increase in cases related to infection with the human papilloma virus (HPV).
