- Accessible service
We provide fast and accessible access to our services at Alfred Health. We care for patients who live near to the Alfred, in other regions of Melbourne, and in rural areas, and to all Victorians through our state-wide services. We also care for patients from other states and, in certain circumstances, from overseas.
- No out of pocket costs
If you are a Medicare holder, all of your consultations and medical oncology treatments at Alfred Health will not cost anything. This means that your care will be covered by Medicare and you won’t need to worry about out-of-pocket costs. If you are not a Medicare holder, or are a patient from overseas, we offer payment plan options. Speak to our staff before your consultation about how we can help you set this up.

- Research
In addition to innovative clinical trials, our clinical service is linked to leading laboratory programmes in solid cancer within the Central Clinical School and to wide-ranging ‘big data’ and population-based research efforts within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, both under the governance of one of the world’s pre-eminent universities, Monash. Our work spans the collection of tissues and data for research purposes (called biobanking), cancer and molecular biology, tumour immunology, epidemiology and clinical registries, artificial intelligence applications, and numerous clinical research projects.
