Preferred wording for including a gift to The Alfred in your Will:

"I give, devise and bequeath, free of all duties and taxes, the residue of my estate/ OR ________________% [the desired percentage] of my entire estate to The Alfred (ABN 27 318 956 319) of 55 Commercial Road, Melbourne Victoria 3004 to be used for its general purposes, allowing The Alfred to use it wherever it is needed at the time it is received. The official receipt from The Alfred shall be sufficient discharge to my executor who shall not be bound to see its application."

If you wish to direct your gift towards a specific area of work, refer to the sample wording below.

"...to be used ideally for the purpose of ___________________________ [add a brief description of the medical area or department]. However, if this ceases to exist or does not require ongoing funding at the time my gift is received, then it is to be used for general purposes for treatment and patient care at The Alfred."
