Every year we receive remarkable support from our community, Trusts, foundations, estates, individuals, corporate partners, and other local and national organisations, who choose to support world-leading research and healthcare at The Alfred.
Through The Alfred Foundation, your generosity can help The Alfred to undertake vital medical research, purchase state-of-the-art equipment and help build and redevelop critical services, allowing us to remain at the forefront of medical treatment and healthcare.
While the government provides us with the essentials, there is always more we can do to ensure we continue to provide the best level of care to the Victorian community.
How you can help...
Holding your own event in support of The Alfred can be a very rewarding experience that also involves your family, friends and community in supporting your efforts.
Team Alfred people have an incredible impact on seriously ill patients. As a member of Team Alfred you’ll be part of a committed, supportive and friendly community helping The Alfred continue to deliver the best care.
The Volunteer Program at The Alfred provides many extra and complimentary services that supplement the care and treatment of patients, support families, visitors and staff at the hospital.
In 2020, thanks to the generous decision made by Brian Jenkins to include a gift of $500,000 in his Will, The Alfred was able to establish The Jenkins Fellowship for Lymphoma – one of four fellowships in our clinical haematology department dedicated to finding new treatments and therapies for people living with blood disorders.
2020 was one of the most challenging years in The Alfred’s history but the generosity of our wonderful community of Alfred supporters enabled us to adapt and respond quickly to the urgent needs of the health service at this time, meaning we could direct funds where they were most needed and fund critical projects and items of equipment.
