Everyone is invited for Breakfast!
This year, The Alfred is celebrating 150 years of operation. It is a celebration of the human spirit, a celebration of community and of coming together.
For some time as part of the Alfred Appeal on Fathers’ Day, The Alfred has put on a breakfast for hospital staff to say thanks for all they do. For the second year in a row now, we wanted to extend the invitation out to everyone in the community to hold their own Breakfast Party fundraiser in support of all those who provide critical care at The Alfred, from our dedicated nurses and doctors to other staff as well! This year, it will also be a celebration of 150 years of lifesaving work at The Alfred! This years event, is proudly supported by Bulla.
Whether it’s with relatives, a group of friends who may as well be family, or even a work, sports, school class or other type of family, we invite you to make the most of the occasion by holding an event with those near and dear to you. You may be celebrating your own father, other father figures in your life, or simply gathering because it’s always lovely to get together with people you care about. It’s critical to follow current social distancing restrictions where you are, so we urge you to make sure you adhere to the current regulations where you are based. A virtual breakfast is always a great option if necessary.
The Alfred is always here to offer critical care to you and your loved ones when it would be needed most, to treat people and help them heal so they can get back on their feet after serious health challenges. What better way to support the purpose of The Alfred in responding to the health needs of the community, than by coming together in gratitude with those nearest and dearest to you, and helping to raise funds in support of our critical care work as you can.
Now the best part! We’ve put together some goodies to help turn your breakfast into a real party. Each breakfast party is invited to donate whatever they can and why not invite other friends and family to donate to your breakfast fundraiser too.
When you raise a minimum of $25, we’ll send an Activity Pack with some games, trivia and other fun activities for you to follow along. When you hit $100, we’ll send out a breakfast pack with some delicious offerings from our friends at Carman’s along with an Alfred Bear (Limited to first 50, $100 total needs to be reached by Wed 25 Aug to receive in time for Fathers' Day).
The Breakfast Party that raises the most, will also be up for an extra special prize thanks to our major sponsors at Bulla who are offering a merchandise pack and one month’s worth of Murray Street ice cream.
