Host a Virtual Breakfast Party in support of The Alfred Appeal
For years as part of our Alfred Appeal on Fathers’ Day, The Alfred has hosted a breakfast for hospital staff to say thanks for all they do. This year we wanted to extend the invitation out to everyone in the community to hold their own Virtual Breakfast Party in support of all those who provide critical care at The Alfred, including our dedicated nurses, doctors and other staff!
Whether it’s with your relatives, a group of friends who may as well be family, or even a work, sports or other type of family, we invite you to make the most of the occasion by holding an event with those nearest and dearest to you. You may be celebrating your own father, other father figures in your life, or simply gathering because it’s always fun to get together with the people you care about. It is critical to follow current social distancing restrictions where you are, so in Melbourne you may come together for breakfast within your own household only, or virtually to connect with those further away.
The Alfred is always here to offer critical care to you and your loved ones when it would be needed most, to treat people and help them heal so they can get back on their feet after serious health challenges. What better way to support the purpose of The Alfred in responding to the health needs of the community, than by coming together in gratitude with those nearest and dearest to you, and helping to raise funds in support of our critical care work if you can.
Now the best part! We’ve put together some goodies to help turn your breakfast into a real party. Each breakfast party is invited to donate whatever they can and why not invite other friends and family to donate to your breakfast fundraiser too.
When you raise a minimum of $20, we’ll send out an activities pack with some jokes, games and other fun activities for you to follow along. When you hit $150, we’ll send out a breakfast pack with some delicious offerings from our friends at Carman’s (Limited to first 50, $150 total must be reached by Thurs 27 Aug to receive in time for Fathers' Day).
The Breakfast Party that raises the most, will also be up for an extra special prize thanks to our major sponsors at Bulla who are offering a merchandise pack and a months’ worth of Murray Street Ice-cream.
