Fried food trial
Although we have minimised the availability of ‘red’ foods at Alfred Health, fried food remains popular.
Similar to our drinks trials, we investigated whether changes to the placement of fried food would nudge people towards healthier options.
We simply hid fried food off display and watched what people purchased. This trial resulted in 23,000 fewer fried food purchases over the year.
Another example how a simple change to the environment can positively influence the health behaviours of our community.
