Thursday 30th January is Check4Spots Day, created in honour of Morgan Mansell who passed away from melanoma at just 25 years of age.
On the 19th of October Beryl Fell marked the 10th anniversary of the passing of her husband Don from melanoma with another fantastic Bright Star Ball.
On Friday 30th August Victorians were encouraged to 'G1VE 4 LIFE' to provide critical care for Australian Dads and their families.
What better way to celebrate the life and legacy of the bright spark that was Sandra Jackson than with a night of music to raise funds for Pulmonary Fibrosis research at The Alfred.
With the support of the Dry July Foundation The Alfred has installed a new sky ceiling to help patients feel at ease while undergoing radiotherapy treatment. By offering this room with a view we hope to be able to improve the overall experience a person has when being treated for cancer.
Thank you to the following Founding Donors for their support of our Lifesaving Equipment Fund, enabling us to purchase state-of-the-art equipment as quickly as possible
Thanks to generous funding from the Dry July Foundation and a community of alcohol-free fundraisers The Alfred has implemented a new patient accommodation program; giving patients and their loved ones and carers from regional and rural Victoria a home away from home.
The Alfred Foundation, this week celebrated the contribution of volunteer Pat Hayward. For 25 years Pat has helped thank donors for their support of the hospital; today we thanked her.
There was no hiding the amazing generosity at the spectacular Disha Masquerade Ball last Saturday night. A carnival of caring people were out, all dedicated to making a meaningful difference for people living with cancer every single day.
