Prof Paul Myles is the Director, Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, The Alfred and Monash University.
Prof Myles is an anaesthetist with a special interest in cardiac and trauma anaesthesia, patient safety, awareness (“waking up” during surgery), and research methods to measure patient quality of recovery.
He was the founding Chair of the ANZCA Clinical Trials Group, is an Australian National Health and Medical Research Council Practitioner Fellow, and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Science.
