The Alfred Research Alliance is a vibrant collaborative community in Melbourne, dedicated to excellence in medical research and education.

A leading medical research and education precinct, the Alliance is located on the site of one of Australia’s busiest hospitals, The Alfred. Here, we think in new and innovative ways and work together to translate the latest advances in medical research into new and improved diagnoses, treatments and disease-prevention strategies, resulting in the best possible clinical care and health outcomes.

Alfred Research Week 2023

Alfred Health Week is an annual event that showcases the research excellence of the Alfred Research Alliance here in Melbourne. It celebrates the researchers and clinicians advancing healthcare locally, nationally and internationally through their innovative research.

Kicking off with a panel discussion around the collective impact of research for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, followed by an insightful keynote address by Professor Karen Adams.  Rounding out the week is a nursing research forum and Abstract Award presentation ceremony.
