Completed radiation safety projects include one that involved establishing local diagnostic reference levels for angiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and another aimed at reducing the radiation exposure for patients undergoing a CT scan of the chest, abdomen and pelvis.
We were able to reduce radiation dose by 25% without compromising image quality by modifying the imaging and contrast injection protocols.
