Spinal Rehabilitation

The Spinal Rehabilitation Service offers a specialised Statewide interdisciplinary clinical service for adults with spinal cord damage or disease from any cause.

Research activity is extremely high, with many projects and collaborations. These include internal, local, national and international activities. International activities include involvement with the International Spinal Cord Society, World Health Organisation publication on Spinal Cord Injury, lead investigator in a multi-centre rehabilitation outcomes collaboration, and participation in a working party with the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) on Spinal Cord Injury Common Data Elements.
