What we do
Brachytherapy is a localised treatment technique utilising radiation to treat prostate cancer and other cancers. Depending on the type of cancer being treated, this may involve the insertion of radioactive seeds or a radioactive source in conjunction with our linear accelerators.
We have specialised in this technique for the past 20 years with outstanding results in thousands of men treated. Having a close association with Alfred Health urologists and medical oncologists, we have the knowledge about and access to all treatment options for prostate cancer.
Who we care for
We are here to look after men with prostate cancer. We will work to provide the best advice and treatment, if needed, according to each man’s individual problem and priorities.
What to expect
Your initial visit will involve a consultation with one of our experienced Radiation Oncologists who specialises in prostate brachytherapy. They will discuss the treatment options with you and access your eligibility for brachytherapy treatment.
