Closing the Gap Medicines Access Program

Under this program, free or low-cost Discharge or Outpatient medicines will be available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people;

• General (non-concessional) patients presenting an Alfred Health prescription will be charged the current concessional co-payment for each item on the prescription.
• Concessional patients presenting an Alfred Health prescription will not pay a co-payment.

PBS medicines continue to be available at community pharmacies through the National Closing the Gap (CTG) PBS Co-payment Measure.
