Patients Come First
The Patients Come First Strategy is Alfred Health’s ‘roadmap’ for putting patients and their families at the centre of care through supporting their own individual healthcare needs and rights.
Why do we have a strategy?
The Patients Come First Strategy is an important document that supports Alfred Health’s Strategic Plan by outlining how we will deliver on our primary goal; providing high-quality patient-centred care. Read the Patients Come First Strategy 2016-2020 here.
The eight pillars listed above represent the key elements of a positive patient experience. We have a range of projects within these pillars that aim to improve the overall experience of care for our patients and families. We measure our patient experience through our many surveys and other feedback such as complaints and compliments.
A five year action plan detailing these improvements and our performance is overseen by the Community Advisory Committee and the Patients Come First committee.
We are working on a new strategy for 2021-2024 in partnership with patients, consumers and staff.
Hear from staff and consumers as they reflect on the next Patients Come First Strategy.
