Sandringham Hospital secondary school work experience program
Our work experience program provides students with an opportunity to gain an understanding of the role the hospital has in the delivery of elective surgery, general medicine, Allied Health, women's health and maternity services.
This Work Experience program is offered to students undertaking years 10-12. Students participating in the program are given the opportunity to spend one week working in a variety of departments at Sandringham Hospital to observe in daily activities.

During your placement at Sandringham Hospital you will visit over 10 departments which include:

- Nursing Education
- Ward G2 - General Surgery
- Physiotherapy
- Ward F2 - Medical Unit
- Theatre recovery
- Infection Prevention
- Occupational Therapy
- Outpatients Clinics
- Radiology
- Dialysis
- Ward F3 - Maternity
- Special Care Nursery
- Speech Pathology
- Nutrition
