Dr Caitlin Cheshire
Dr Caitlin Cheshire is a cardiologist specialising in heart failure, transplantation and non-invasive imaging.
After graduating with Honours from Monash University, she undertook Physician Training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, followed by Cardiology Advanced Training at Monash Heart.
Caitlin then completed a Fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation at Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, United Kingdom, as well as an advanced Echocardiography Fellowship at The Alfred.
Her PhD has focused on the contributors to short and long term outcomes following heart transplantation, with a particular focus on donor and recipient size matching.
As a member of the Alfred’s Advanced heart failure and cardiac transplant team, she manages patients with all types of cardiomyopathy during all phases of their patient journey, including those requiring mechanical circulatory support and transplantation. She also has subspecialty expertise in the management and procedural imaging of structural heart disease and the care of cardio-oncology patients.
