Prof Mark Hew
Head of Allergy, Asthma & Clinical Immunology, Alfred Hospital, and Adjunct Clinical Professor, School of Public Health & Preventive Medicine, Monash University
Mark qualified in Medicine at Melbourne in 1995. He undertook a severe asthma fellowship at the Royal Brompton Hospital, a PhD in Molecular Biology at Imperial College London, and a Masters in Evidence-Based Health Care at Oxford. He has dual specialist registration, in both Respiratory & Sleep Medicine and Clinical Immunology & Allergy. He has published more than a hundred research papers and book chapters. His areas of expertise include severe asthma therapeutics, thunderstorm asthma, and allergic disease.
