2020: the year of the global pandemic

A message from our CEO Prof Andrew Way AM and Board Chair Michael Gorton AM.

Reflecting on the past 12 months, there is an overwhelming sense of pride and a humbling sense of gratitude. 

Our staff and community have worked together, followed the rules, made sacrifices, and ultimately enabled us to be in a position where we can enjoy this festive season with our loved ones.  

The emerging cluster in Sydney is a salient reminder that this virus remains with us. We need to stay vigilant. While 2021 brings hope, this pandemic is not over. 

This year has taught us many things, but the importance of being able to spend time with family, friends and loved ones is something few of us will take for granted again.
