Breaches of the Code
Process for Managing Potential Breaches of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.
Complaints of potential breaches of the Code will be made from time to time and the seriousness of the potential breach assessed on a case by case basis. Management of the complaint needs to be clear and timely in order to resolve the situation and implement appropriate corrective actions if necessary. All affected parties must be treated fairly. Investigations must be factual, proportional, impartial, confidential, timely and transparent.
Access and be familiar with the NHMRC Investigation Guide, The Guide to Managing and Investigating Potential Breaches of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, (2018).
Alfred Health has adopted the NHMRC approach with some refinements to be consistent with other organisation complaint and investigation processes. Alfred Health's guideline is located on the Alfred Connect (intranet). Select Policies & Guidelines (PROMPT).
