A/Prof Jeremy Ruben

Head of the Stereotactic Radiosurgery service and lead clinician in Radiation Oncology for Lung and CNS tumours.

After completing Clinical Oncology training in Medical and Radiation Oncology, A/Prof Ruben undertook a fellowship at The William Buckland Radiotherapy Centre at The Alfred.

His research there focussed on neuro-oncology and innovative radiotherapy techniques like Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), which was the subject of a Master's thesis. He then took up a specialist post at The Alfred, where he is currently Head of the Stereotactic Radiosurgery service and lead clinician in Radiation Oncology for lung and CNS tumours.

He retains his interest and practice in melanoma and is one of the chief investigators for a national trial of radiotherapy versus topical immunotherapy for melanoma. He recently submitted his doctorate thesis at Monash University where he is an honorary senior lecturer. Jeremy has presented and published at conferences and in books and journals both locally and internationally.
