Dr Nay Htun
Dr Nay Min Htun is a cardiologist at The Alfred.
He undertook his cardiology advanced training at The Alfred. He was awarded PhD Medicine by Monash University for his research focusing on detecting unstable atherosclerotic plaques by developing a novel imaging method and a urine proteomic profiling.
He then spent 2 years at St Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver, Canada, with a comprehensive training in both coronary and structural heart interventions under the mentorship of Professor John Webb, one of the world leaders of transcatheter aortic valve implantation.
He currently works as an interventional cardiologist (structural and coronary) and shares his time between The Alfred, Latrobe Regional Hospital and Frankston Hospital. He also holds RACP Research Establishment Fellowship at Atherothrombosis and Vascular Biology Lab at Baker Heart Institute.
