About our partners
With the support of our partners, we’re working together to battle Australia’s cancer as well as other rarer cancers.
Paula Fox and the Fox family
Paula Fox AO has been a part of The Alfred since having the first of her six children at the hospital in the 1960s. Together with her husband Lindsay, a prominent Australian businessman, they have become one of the most influential philanthropic families in the country.
Paula and Lindsay have provided over 15 years of philanthropic support to The Alfred across ICU, trauma, oncology and now, the Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre.
With this landmark donation and the many other generous contributions over the years, the Fox family are The Alfred’s most significant benefactors.
Paula's commitment to advancing melanoma outcomes for the community began in 2016, when she was diagnosed with melanoma. Since Paula’s treatment, she has discovered how common melanoma is and many of her friends have been affected either personally or through their loved ones. This compels her to do as much as she can to get rid of ‘Australia’s cancer’ for good.
The Minderoo Foundation
Andrew and Nicola Forrest founded Minderoo Foundation in 2001, and continue to drive its philanthropic mission today, incubating ideas, advocating for systems change and accelerating impact.
Minderoo Foundation takes on tough, persistent issues with the potential to drive massive change. They strongly believe in the power of philanthropic donations working alongside government funding – and the Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre demonstrates this. The centre forms part of Minderoo’s mission to help make cancer non-lethal within a generation.
Minderoo Foundation supports the site's Wellness Centre, providing a dedicated home for education and support services for patients, their carers and families and promoting a holistic approach to cancer care.
