Prof Gerard Goh

MBBS, FRANZCR, FCIRSE, FSIR, EBIR — Head of Interventional Radiology. Consultant Diagnostic & Interventional Radiologist. Adjunct Clinical Professor, Central Clinical School, Monash University.

Professor Goh completed his medical training and Radiology training in Adelaide. He has worked at the Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, Ireland where he was a Clinical Lecturer in Interventional Radiology for the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and at St George’s Hospital, London, UK where he was an Honorary Senior Lecturer for St George’s University of London.

He is an executive board member and council member for the Asia Pacific Society of Cardiovascular Radiology (APSCVIR), a council member for the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) for the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) and is an honorary researcher for the National Trauma Research Institute. Previously he has been the Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Radiology for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists and President of the Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia.

Prof Goh is a regularly invited international speaker having given over 180 invited presentations, been involved with over 50 workshops and authored 3 book chapters. In addition to a strong interest in research he is involved with a number of clinical trials and first-in-human trials.

He is an Associate Editor for the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology journal and the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology as is also peer reviewer for several international journals.

His areas of interest include complex vascular interventions, embolisation and trauma.
