Dr Tuan Phan
Dr Tuan Phan is one of a small group of specialist Radiologists in Australia who has obtained further training and sub-specialist certification in Interventional Radiology.
He obtained his medical degree from Monash University, did his specialist training in Radiology at Monash Health and then undertook fellowships in Interventional Radiology at Monash Health and Alfred Health.
He is proficient in all Interventional Radiology procedures, but his areas of special interest are treatment of arteriovenous malformations (AVM) and cavernosograms for treatment of erectile dysfunction.
He is also director of Interventional Radiology at Peninsula Health and has had previous consultant specialist appointments at Epworth HealthCare and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.
He is a member of the Interventional Radiology Society of Australia (IRSA) and an active contributor to the examination material of the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR).
Outside of work, he enjoys photography and spending time with family. He likes to put his camera to the test by taking photos that capture the true beauty and emotion of a scene.
His extensive training and expertise give referring doctors confidence. His patients will tell you he is personable, available, has a high attention to detail, is calm under pressure and perhaps most importantly genuinely cares for their wellbeing.
