Structural Heart Clinic
Patient information
What we do
The Structural Heart Clinics support The Alfred Structural Heart Program. The Structural Heart Clinic service provides comprehensive assessment in the clinics, with an overview of your condition and the full gamut of treatments available.
Support and coordination of assessments is facilitated by our team of dedicated Structural Heart Nurse Coordinators.
Who we care for
The clinic offers a comprehensive assessment and completion of tests for patients with problems with their heart such as:
- When the valve is tight (a stenosis)
- When the valve is leaky (regurgitation)
- When there is a problem between the chambers of their heart such as a patent foramen ovale (a hole in the heart)
