A/Prof Sashendra Senthi
A/Prof Sasha Senthi is a Radiation Oncologist at Alfred Health Radiation Oncology.
After completing his training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre he undertook a Clinical Research Fellowship in the VU University, Amsterdam. There he completed subspecialty training Stereotactic Radiotherapy and a PhD which focused on optimising the survivorship of cancer patients.
Since returning to Melbourne, he has commenced multiple clinical trials, including a phase I study to improve responses to immunotherapy using stereotactic radiotherapy and determining the genetics underlying treatment response.
This research is supported by both the National Health and Medical Research Council and the Victorian Cancer Agency. Sasha sits on the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group Scientific Committee and is completing a Masters in Public Health at Harvard University.
