The Victorian Adult Burns Service is the statewide provider of burns care for all Victorian adults with complex major burn injuries, as well as many people with less severe burns. Each year we admit over 300 burns patients and review over 1,000 outpatients.

Clinical research focuses on the management and outcomes of patients with Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TENS); the effect of gender on mortality in burn patients; and fluid management and blood transfusion practices.
